IntroductionFurusawa Jun'ya (古澤"也) was a Japanese Animator, Promotional Artist and Background Artist for Toei Animation and later an independent designer, comic books illustrator and writer. Furusawa Jun'ya worked at Studio Bird during college and acted as an illustrator for them in his college days, he used to publish some DBZ doujinshi and often contributed fan art to anime magazines under the name of Furujun (ふ る じ ゅ "). He became famous for copying Toriyama's art style, and that was when he was hired as an official artist during his college life. He debuted as a pro mangaka as Jun'ya Furusawa and stopped doing background work for the franchise probably after graduation. Junya Furusawa was known for his usage of the vast cast of characters in his work and not just focusing on Saiyans. His official collaboration with Dragon Ball did not continue beyond the Dragon Ball Z storyline (as far as we are currently aware), but Furusawa continued to demonstrate his enormous love for the Dragon World by making several personal illustrations and real fan books. The most famous is certainly the “ Jun'ya Furusawa Rough Sketchbook | F-WORKS ”(古 澤 " 也 ラ フ ス ケ ッ チ 集 F-WORKS): collection of basic sketches of his official artworks and his favorite personal illustrations. |
